Arin is a character in House Party. He is based on Arin Hanson, one of three winners of a 2018 contest to be added to the game.[1][2] Like his real-life counterpart, Arin is part of a YouTube comedy duo with Dan as the Game Grumps.
While Arin was out partying, Dan studied the blade.
Arin is introduced to the game during Game Jam. Katherine mentions being a fan of the Game Grumps, and wishes she were attending their sold out live show tonight. Since she knows they'll be flying in via hot air balloon, she devises a plan to disrupt their radio signal.
As the balloon approaches the house, Arin is trying to radio someone named "Chet" (aka "Busteroo") to prepare for their arrival. Because the signal is jammed, Arin and Dan mistakenly bring the balloon down for a landing near the Hot Tub and jump out into the middle of the Yard. When you talk to them, Arin angrily chastises you, mistaking you for Chet. Once Arin and Dan realize you're not Chet, they call you "Not-Chet" for the rest of the game. After Dan realizes the balloon has flown off and they left their phones aboard, Arin and Dan become desperate to find a way out of the house to make it to their show in time.
Since the real Arin did not agree to any explicit content in the game, his role is primarily to walk around the house making amusing remarks about the game and its characters. Arin and Dan are almost always together, and nearly everything you can do with one also involves the other.

- Seeing the owl painting in the Art Room[3]
- Trying to jump the fence
- Trying to get car keys or a cell phone by tricking someone into playing a role-playing game in the Garage[4]
- Arin being convinced he's in a dream, and asking Dan to drop a Toaster in the bathtub to shock him out of it
- Dan finding the Master Bedroom Closet and the pair being awestruck by the coats [5]
- Arin gets hypnotized by the Painting in the Dining Room[6]

Aside from story-related dialogue, Arin has several interactions with NPCs:
- Katherine talks to Arin about working at Blockbuster
- A minor reaction to Katherine's dialogue with Rachael about Madison's artistry and Katherine's pedantry ("Uhm, it wasn't a metaphor, it was a simile.")
- Derek tries to clear up Dan's understanding of what a furry is.
- A brief interaction with Ashley asking for the location of the bathroom.
- Dan and Arin try to bring peace between Madison and Ashley with a song about sibling friendship.
- Dan and Arin attempt to comfort Brittney.
- Arin ridicules Amy over the nature of her scavenger hunt, while Dan accidentally implies he has engaged in kidnapping for such a challenge.
- Lety has special dialogue for the Game Grumps during her easter egg ending in Derezzed.
- Arin tries to network with Madison as a fellow artist, then recants over her pretentiousness.
- Arin can try to clear up a misunderstanding with Stephanie over the nature of he and Dan's series "The 10-Minute Power Hour".
- Dan can also comment during your interactions with Stephanie.
- Arin and Dan take exception to Patrick wondering how Frank can be into both guys and girls.
- Arin and Dan pitch an acting role to Patrick as the Diddle Kid.[7]
- Rachael tries to flirt with Dan, before Arin redirects Dan to their task of leaving the party.
- Arin can confess to Dan that he has watched Internet videos featuring Vickie.

Arin has quest-specific reactions to Madison's Phone, Patrick's Phone, the Open Briefcase, and the Starbomb Box, since these can all be used to end the Return of the Grumps opportunity.
He also has unique reactions to the following items:

- Playing beer pong in the Garage
- Rummaging through the Trash Can in the Kitchen
